Typically we invest thousands of dollars of our "Fall Festival budget" toward an incredible Halloween event FREE for our community. In 2021 we decided to forgo that event to protect our church and our community. But! Generosity is NOT cancelled! Last year we gave $1000 to give shoes to kids in Uganda through Rescue African Children. This year, we wanted to do even more!
Movement Church is going to take our Fall Festival Budget and give to people of the persecuted church. We are asking the people of Movement Church to consider the time they would have served at our Fall Festival event, the big bags of candy they would have given, and the money they would have donated and pray about what they will give towards the persecuted church as well.
November 7th is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church and on this day, we will come together as a church and GIVE.
We will be giving through www.persecution.com towards "Persecution Response". This will provide help for those who have suffered persecution themselves or for the families of Christians imprisoned or killed because of their witness. Such help will assist in the immediate aftermath of a persecution event and in meeting ongoing or long-term needs. Your gift may be used to assist with living expenses, children’s educational needs, relocation within a nation, legal assistance, vocational training or other needs.
